The state can be divided into 5 regions; Metropolitan Phoenix, Central Arizona and the Verde Valley (Sedona, Jerome, Prescott), Northern Arizona (Flagstaff, Page/Lake Powell), the West Coast (Lake Havasu City) and Southern Arizona (Tucson, Bisbee, Cochise County).

In Metropolitan Phoenix, gay and lesbian activity can be found around Roosevelt Square, Camelback and Central, the 7th Avenue corridor, Downtown Scottsdale and Copper Square (Downtown Phoenix). In addition, many GLBT friends and family have chosen to live in the city suburbs of Tempe, Chandler, Glendale, Fountain Hills and Apache Junction.

A car is a must to explore the Central Phoenix "neighborhood" which is actually an elongated square bordered roughly by Camelback to the North, McDowell to the South, 7th Street to the East and 7th Ave. to the West. Pick up a local copy of Echo, Heatstroke, IONAZ or the Women's Community Connection for a detailed map or stop by the Phoenix Convention and Visitors

Whatever experience you are looking for, chances are you will find it in Arizona.
